Our goal has always been to motivate, encourage and release our fellow creatives to do their thing, so we’ve lovingly crafted a theme that is both super easy to use and packed full of endless possibilities.

No One Left Behind Conference 3rd March 2017

Earlier this month Black Country Talent Match hosted a thought provoking conference for our strategic partners around tackling youth unemployment, entitled “No one left behind.”

The highly successful event took place at the Hawthorns, West Bromwich and addressed the challenge of sustaining employment for young people and understanding the barriers they face.

Talent Match Black Country is now entering its third year successful year of programme delivery and so the focus of the conference was how to ensure that no young people are left behind as Talent Match and EU funding comes to an end in 2018.

Delegates learnt about impact of Talent Match provision, lessons from Talent Match Black Country, the successes and the future of this type of provision in post-Brexit Britain. Befitting a conference tackling such a thorny issue as how to tackle youth unemployment during a time of economic uncertainty, a number of high profile guests contributed to the days dialogue. These included Ian Austin (MP), Mark Easton (BBC Home Editor) and Laura-Jane Rawlings (Youth Employment UK) as well as Matt Poole, Head of Funding at Big Lottery Fund.

We hope those who were able to attend found the day both informative and enjoyable and left with a clear understanding of the current challenges surrounding the youth employment landscape and the socio-economic benefits associated with high levels of youth employment. We have taken the first steps in ensuring no one is left behind but there is so much more to do and we hope to count on your support in the future.

Can we take this opportunity to kindly thank our sponsors, Black Country Training Group (BCTG) and Midland Metro Alliance, who helped make the event possible.
