Talent Match 3 Years On, Celebration and Awards, Championing the Voice of Young People

We celebrated in style at the Molineux Football Grounds on the 12th October 2017, in aid of our 3 Years on Celebration and Awards, Championing the Voice of Young People Hosted by ITV News Presenter and household name, Sameena Ali-Khan, the event showcased and celebrated the progression made over the past year.
It recognised the achievements of Mentees, Mentors, Partners and Employers, who all play a valuable part in the ongoing success of Talent Match BC.

The night kicked off with speakers setting the tone for the night and praising the progression Talent Match BC has made over the last year. We heard from –
Professor Ian Oakes, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of University of Wolverhampton

Interview chat with Sameena, guests included Young People, Mentor, Hub Lead and the projects Accountable Body

The Proof is in the Pudding, inspirational moments with our young people Lucy Woodward and O’Shea Kerr

The evening concluded with the much anticipated Awards Ceremony
The categories for each award were-
· Five Shining Star Awards for one Mentee per Hub
· The Brightest Star Award
· Mentor of the Year
· Partner of the Year
· Employer of the Year

Huge congratulations to –
· Each Shining Star – Daniel, Liam, Daniel, Adam and O’Shea
· Charlene from the Central Team who won Mentor of the Year
· Walsall Adult and Community College who won Partner of the Year
· Carillion who won Employer of the Year

With further congratulations to our Brightest Star of 2017, O’Shea, who was voted as the Winner by our audience
