Access to Business is Wolverhampton based and aims to support your transition into employment/self-employment.
Support into Employment – The aim of this support is to help you find employment in three steps
- You would be invited to an information, advice and guidance (IAG) appointment with an adviser
- Choose one of two employment programmes - Stepping Stones or Employability
- Receive ongoing support until you secure employment by attending a weekly job club
The skills you would gain from these programmes would include –
- IT Training
- Sector specific training
- CV/Interview techniques
Support into Self – Employment – This would include 4 steps
- Like the Employment support programme you would attend an IAG meeting
- Decide what sector you would want to establish yourself in
- Receive ongoing support for the first year of your business being up and running
- Attend helpful events and conferences
Some of the available sectors that you can receive training in are –
- Business Finance
- Marketing
- Social Media
As well as this, Access to Business offer IT introduction classes for three hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays with a chance to gain a level 3 qualification. Also you can gain access to a variety of training opportunities in First Aid, Food Hygiene and Health & Safety all great to add onto your CV.
